The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner stated recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
